so i hit a car back in like what, september - november range of last year, right? yeah. we contacted the guy, he didn’t respond but told us he wants $1k for damages. fine. i had a grand to give him as compensation. his registration was expired so it didn’t mean much, but he never contacted us back. never talked to us, never attempted to reach us. but NOW, in JANUARY, he emails us saying he wants compensation!
It’s so healing to wake up in a silent house and silently make your own coffee or tea and enjoy the beautifully intricate fullness of the morning silence while remaining calm and collected and unbothered by all outer and inner noise and it’s so low-key elevating and pacifying to rejoice in the silent atmosphere of your own house and just silently block the rest of the world…it’s a slice of heaven
i went to a hemp shop for the first time yesterday with my gf and we got some edibles and i swear it was a blessing, i didn’t feel anxious or electrified for nearly an hour, i felt so good i nearly cried
one hard pill to swallow (that i had to learn myself) is that in order to actually learn coping skills and progress with living successfully with your mental illness is that you have to take action. whether that’s going to therapy or removing yourself from toxic enviornments/people, living your life solely for yourself or whatever. you can’t sit around venting forever and expect it will change. theres only so much understanding and patience that others around you will have. sometimes mental illness is a burden on others. it’s a burden when you have access to help and choose not to take it. sometimes it’s exhausting. there’s no magic day where it will all fall together. you have to actively make that magic.
i wonder how many “hey guys are super hot no homo tho hahaha” type guys would identify as bisexual if male bisexuality was talked about more often and not like… ignored and forgotten about
I had a strongly Christian underclassman tell me that he and his girlfriend would both be a bit into boys and girls, respectively, if it was more accepted. He nervously described himself as bicurious when he spoke to me, an openly bi guy. I was thinking out loud and mentioned that I thought that being bicurious… wasn’t necessarily a thing, for lack of a better phrase, because if someone was attracted to the same gender, even if they’re attracted more to another one, they’re still bi. He kind of looked surprised and said, “oh. I guess I’m bi then.”
Let men and boys be bi. Encourage men and boys to explore their sexualities. Don’t tell them off for being affectionate, whether platonically or not, and don’t insist that they’re gay.
The customer bringing the claim against Azucar Bakery in Denver, Colorado, says he was the victim of ‘religious discrimination’ because they wouldn’t adorn cakes with the words ‘God hates gays’, and draw a picture of two men holding hands with a red cross above it.
Owner Marjorie Silva called the requests of Bill Jack ‘discriminatory and hateful’ and refused to decorate the cakes, saying: ‘We never refuse service. We did feel that it was not right for us to write hateful words or pictures against human beings.’
She did, however, offer to make Mr Jack the cakes and sell him some icing so her could decorate them himself.
Mr Jack was not satisfied with this response, telling a local news station he was being ‘discriminated against by the bakery based on my creed’.
He has filed a complaint with the Department of Regulatory Agencies, which have now placed the bakery under investigation, and could refer the complaint to the Colorado Civil Rights Commission if they feel that Mr Jack was being discriminated against.
Mr Jack is the head of the Worldview Academy, an organisation that exists to help people ‘think and live in accord with a Biblical worldview’.
Since the incident Ms Silva has received praise and support from people throughout the world who have contacted her via email.
Guys please spread this, I live here and I love this cake shop so much and would hate to see it get closed for something like this. The cakes there are absolutely phenomenal, and they even have gay and lesbian wedding cake toppers, and is the only cake store that has those in all of Denver, Golden, and Lakewood. Please don’t let this cake shop close.
Oh, so a cake shop refuses to make a wedding cake for a gay couple and they get sued and everyone is talking about how the cake shop gets to have religious freedom. Now, a cake shop refuses to write hateful remarks on their cakes and it’s the customer’s religious freedom that needs to be protected. I see how it is.
I see how it fucking is.
This is like 10 minutes away from where I live, and the staff there is super professional and they make the most AMAZING pastries. Good on them for telling that PoS to fuck off. 👏👏👏👏👏
